New SaaS features offer a simple way to confront ongoing material price increases

AUSTIN, TEXAS—May 17, 2022 –Buildxact (stage.buildxact.com), a global SaaS company providing a simple solution for custom home builders to better manage and grow their business, announced today a set of features to boost collaboration between builders and their material dealers.

Now available is an expansion to the Buildxact subscription model. The new, more inclusive model allows dealers, at no upfront cost, to accept invitations to join their builder’s Buildxact account so they can accurately estimate the cost of custom home builds and execute those projects in an efficient and timely manner.

At the builder’s invite, dealers can send accurate material pricing information into their customers’ online workflows and suggest improvements to their material purchases using Buildxact’s improved Collaborative RFQ tool. When needed, dealers can also assist with preconstruction tasks, like takeoffs, which raises the level of service while also giving dealers a way to grow the value of their accounts.

“The digital improvements we are bringing to the builder and dealer are coming at a critical time,” David Murray, CEO of Buildxact, said. “Our dealers are in a prime position to help custom home builders manage the global supply chain uncertainty that exists in today’s market. With these upcoming releases, both builder and dealer will have a highly efficient digital platform to get more done while retaining profitability and growth.”

Under the new subscription model, builders can invite their dealer of choice to join the Buildxact platform either by submitting a digital quote request or via an online invitation to collaborate on jobs. Once accepted, the dealer can instantly begin working with the builder. Accurate dealer pricing can be shared 24/7 so that builders can make purchasing decisions at a time that is best for them. Using Epicor’s BisTrack Solution, dealers can easily share price files directly from their ERP to be confident their builder has the most up-to-date information during times when material prices frequently fluctuate.

“Over time, dealers and builders who work on this platform will see greater efficiencies,” Steve Yates, Buildxact Executive Vice President, said. “For instance, dealers can aggregate builder data to create predictive models of builder demand and needs. With these in place, dealers can anticipate the needs of their customers and raise their level of service. And the builder will find as transactions with the dealer ease, they can bid more work and win more jobs.”
